Here's Your Road Map to Delaware's Most Exciting 2024 Car Shows

Whether you’re a major “gearhead” or love someone who is, you should make plans to visit one of several upcoming car shows in Delaware.

The British are coming to Lewes on Saturday, May 4th between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Lewes Ferry Terminal located at 43 Cape Henlopen Drive for the Lewes British Motorcar Show, presented by the Lewes Chamber of Commerce and the British Car Club of Delaware. NOTE – you have to arrive before 2 p.m. or you won’t be able to get in. 

Now in its 28th year, this is always a fun event and will feature 120 cars, with judges selecting the winners in 11 categories. At 3 p.m. there will be a Winners’ Circle Parade from the ferry terminal to the Savannah Road drawbridge to Second Street and the Bank Street Plaza where the winners will be announced.

Also on Sunday, May 5th is the First State Mustang & Ford Club Annual Spring Car Show. It’s taking place at Porter Ford at 600 Ogletown Road in Newark from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. This is a great event for everyone who loves these fast and classic American cars, with trophies for the Top 30, the Best of Show, Dealer’s Choice and Young Guns. If you’re anywhere near Millville, you can also visit the 2nd Annual Bob Powell Memorial Car Show, presented by the Millville Fire Company in Frankford. It also takes place on Sunday, May 5th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features antique military, police, fire and tractor vehicles, with raffles, food for sale, and more fun activities. Also on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. is the Delmar Kiwanis Car Show at the U.S. 13 Dragway and Delaware International Speedway, located at 37854 Sussex Highway. The Dover Speedway will roll out the Good Guys Car Show from Friday, June 7th through Sunday, June 9th. It happens between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday. There will be more than 2,000 hot rods, classic cars, muscle cars, trucks and imported cars. On Sunday, June 30th, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., the Glasgow Park Barn in Newark will be the site of the Delaware Cops and Rodders Car Show, featuring antique and hot rod cars, police vehicles and SWAT trucks, with a competition, food trucks and police displays. 

On Saturday, August 10th from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Delaware Hospice will present its Hospice Fest 2024 Car Show in Milford, with live music, prizes and food. Learn more at https://www.delawarehospice.org/event/hospice-fest-2024/

If you’re looking ahead to the early fall, mark your calendar for the 2024 Annual-All British-All Years Car and Motorcycle Show, also presented by the British Car Club of Delaware. It takes place on Saturday, September 14th between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at Bellanca Airfield Museum in New Castle
