If you visit the communities link at our Web site you might be astonished by the significant number of new neighborhoods being built or revitalized throughout Delaware. Since we have good relationships with all of the builders, its easy for us to show buyers homes that are especially well-suited to what theyre looking for.
That said, we know a lot of folks enjoy exploring neighborhoods in person or online on their own, so are doing a series spotlighting individual builders and what theyre offering.
This week we talked with Ginger Yocus, a New Home Sales Consultant at D.R. Horton. Its a well-established builder with 40 years of experience and a Divisional office located in Smyrna thats now building the Headwater Cove neighborhood between Lewes and Rehoboth.
We started off by asking Ginger about why she loves Delaware, and were so happy to see her emphasizing our great quality of life.
Im from Lewes but spent 20-plus years in New Jersey prior to moving back and let me tell you Wizard of Oz fans there really is no place like home.
Thats especially true if you want nice neighbors.
After we moved here my husband asked me more than a few times Why are all of these people waving to us? When I mentioned that to buyers they also laughed because they noticed how friendly folks are around here. I tell them welcome to Lower, Slower Delaware, where the sun is brighter and the air is sweeter even if its a little salty .
Ginger also loves the great restaurants located throughout the state, and the amazing freshness of our farm-to-table cuisine thanks to our abundant agriculture.
Not surprisingly, shes also a big fan of the community D. R. Horton is building at Headwater Cove.
Move in to brand new homes
The neighborhood is well-suited to people who are planning to move to Delaware during the next year and want to guarantee theyre stepping into a fresh, new home.
Were building houses now so theyre ready for buyers, instead of waiting for buyers and then building. This allows for quick delivery, which is great for folks who sell their current homes quickly and dont want to have to move into a rental while theyre waiting for construction to be completed.
Close to the beaches with a resort lifestyle along with extra peace and quiet
Headwater is only nine miles from Lewes Beach and the Cape Henlopen State Park and 11 miles to Rehoboth, and since were between Route 1 and Route 13 residents have quick access to shopping. That means you get to experience all of the fun of living in a resort area, but with peace and quiet too.
The neighborhood will also offer fine amenities and a friendly, easy lifestyle.
Our club house will offer a great way for people moving here without knowing anyone, where you can make new friends at the resort style pool, sport court, workout room, and gathering area and fireplace.
Also, our lawn care will be appealing for buyers who want to go on vacation, take long weekends away, or have company and not have to worry about the grass being cut.
With airy, lush spaces . . .
Right away our buyers know theyre getting lovely finishes, from tray ceilings to crown molding to soft close drawers and quartz countertops all of which are standard so they dont change the price of the home. As they continue to walk through the model theyll ask is the Roman shower in the owners suite included? And what about the third car garage, the washer and dryer, the blinds on every operable window, luxury vinyl plank flooring?
To which I answer: You bet it is! All of it and more!
