Delaware State Parks are open. Bring the family and spend some time in nature, exercise, or hike.
What a perfect time to talk about the Delaware State Parks! As the state opens parks with some restrictions and safety precautions, I wanted to share some of my favorites with you.
Cape Henlopen State Park just keeps getting better. It is my favorite place to walk or bike, with its choice of trails and natural beauty. And you have the Atlantic Ocean beaches as a bonus.
Other state parks with beaches include the Delaware Seashore State Park heading south toward Bethany and Fenwick. The view of this beach as you are heading north from Bethany, on the Indian River Inlet Bridge is one of the prettiest views in Southern Delaware.
Have you seen Hammerheads on the bay and the Big Chill Beach Club overlooking the Delaware Seashore State Park on the Atlantic, they will be the perfect places to end your day.
In Northern Delaware, the Wilmington State Parks provide a green escape right in the heart of the city. Wherever I live, I always look for a park and when I lived in Wilmington, I enjoyed walking in the Brandywine Park and Rockford Park.
Even today when concerts and other activities have been canceled or postponed, the parks are opening for outdoor activities and exercise. So, get out and enjoy!
