Many communities up and down the state are feeling the effects of health care industry improvements from new construction homes being built to house medical professionals coming to fill new jobs to being a patient who receives cutting-edge medical care.

Healthcare Expansions Around Milford

One of Delawares fastest growing towns, Milford, is on the tip of a development boom. Milford city officials have announced that the recent opening of the massive new hospital complex along with the future redevelopment of a 90-year-old medical center is bringing, not only leading medical care to the community, but is additionally spurring economical commercial development in ancillary health care businesses, hotels, chain restaurants, and amenities. With each of these new businesses the wave of new residents follows to fill the new jobs. Additionally, doctors, nurses, and other medical professions relocating to this area will need housing. This can be an excellent time to market your home for sale if youve been toying with the idea.

The new Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus is six stories of modern architectural design situated on a 169-acre property, allowing for future development growth in coming years. Bayhealth replaces former Milford Memorial Hospital. This state-of-the-art facility is primed to serve the community for many years going forward. The former Milford Memorial Hospital, under the acquirement of a Wilmington-based healthcare management company, Nationwide Health Services, is slated to convert into a mixed-use facility known as the Milford Wellness Village.

Health Facilities coming to Lewes, Rehoboth, & Millville

The Beebe Healthcare Board announced facility expansions over the next several years along with proposed comprehensive services. Those in the area may have noticed construction of the first phase taking shape in the fall of 2018. As the latest technology and equipment becomes available to physicians, patients can anticipate improved services and care levels.

The Lewes campus will continue to be the emergency care site and for in-patients requiring a longer stay. A Specialty Surgical Hospital for short-term in-patient and out-patient procedures will be located in Rehoboth. Residents of Millville will see development of Beebe Health Campus for the new year-round freestanding emergency department. This is in answer to residents needs for such a facility.
