    I think nowadays, in order to navigate the web of red tape surrounding selling a home, and to make sure you get the maximum value for your home, it's almost a must to use an agent. Yes, an agent will take a few percentage points from your home sale as commission, but the extra money you'll get from maximizing the home value and the peace of mind you'll have from not dealing with all that red tape is well worth the price of admission.
