UPDATE: We're getting started on recruiting people for our 2016 Boomer Build with Sussex County's Habitat for Humanity.
At Irish Eyes on August 21, Live-Life-LOCAL 2016 kicked off our recruiting effort for our 2016 Boomer build. Quite a few guests signed-up to volunteer to help a Habitat For Humanity family. Watch the fun here.
Join us on site on Wednesday, September 21 (9am to 3 pm) and empower yourself as you build with friends and neighbors throughout the county. Be a change maker and help Habitat for Humanity realize their vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
This is your opportunity to team with Sussex County Habitat for Humanity to develop skills, build homes, and advocate for decent, affordable housing in our communities.
The most important requirement for a Habitat for Humanity volunteer is a desire to serve. Whether framing a house, putting up walls, or doing finish and painting work, Habitats construction crew and site leaders provide all the training and guidance needed for a successful build project. And, your participation boosts Sussex Habitats capacity to build more houses and serve more families!
Please consider sharing your gifts and talents on our Boomer Build Day. You don't need to know how to swing a hammer, use a saw or a drill, you can help serve lunch to the Crew!
Let's make a huge difference in the life of a Sussex County Habitat Partner Family. If you, or anyone you know can come out on September 21, please email us. And you don't need to be a resident to participate and meet some really great people!

This year,Sussex County Habitat for Humanity ( SCHFH) plans to serve 41 families through homeownership and home repair opportunities. Once again, we are looking for Boomers who are able to share their gifts and talents at a Build Day for Sussex County's Habitat for Humanity!
During our 2013 Build Day endeavor, we put together a full crew, and we raised a considerable donation from our group of clients and past clients! This year, we are doing it again with our friends at Sussex County Habitat for Humanity. As the beneficiary of our 2016 Build Day and our annual fundraising effort, we are looking forward to making a huge difference in the life of a Habitat Partner Family. If you or anyone you know can come out on a Wednesday in September, please email us or contact us at 302-424-1890. We are grateful for your support!
