October was an exciting month for Active Adults Realty in the news!
Delaware Beach Life-October 2014
An article by Pam George in the October edition of Delaware Beach Life, titled, Smart Moves" featured myself and Active Adults Realty clients, Tony and Maggi Gizzi who decided to downsize from a 19-room home in Riverton, NJ and move to Delaware.
The article relates their Delaware home buying experience, with Tony recalling, "We couldn't find anything we liked." All that changed when he performed with the Shrewsbury String Quartet at a Delaware beach wedding in September 2013 and then contacted Active Adults Realty.
The article goes on to talk about their return to the area and their search for a new house in Bay Crossing, a Lewes-area community for residents 55 and over. To Read/Download the article, Click Here.
Post-Rehoboth Jazz Festival story by Maddy Lauria, Cape Gazette
Bill and I were featured in a post-Rehoboth Jazz Festival story by Maddy Lauria in the Cape Gazette titled, Jazz Festival Attracts Record Crowds 25th Annual Event Brings Together Music, Music Lovers". The Oct 25 article recounts the story of our first meeting fourteen years ago and "therest of the story" as Paul Harvey used to say.
We met in October 2000, married in January 2003, moved to the Lewes area that summer and have continued to attend the festival every year. Even though the festival has changed over the years, the event still is one of the great things about living in Delaware's beach community.
Bill said of the festival, As it became part of the area, it became part of who we are and what we do. We love jazz that's the primary thing and in addition to that, it's a bit nostalgic for the obvious reasons.
Then that little bit of nostalgia prompted me to write a Letter to the Editor of the Cape Gazette.
