My morning began today at the Lewes Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting. It's a great way to network with other local business people and newcomers to Lewes. Our guest speaker this morning was Julie Wheatley, the new Director of the Sussex County Economic Development office and she shared some interesting statistics with us about Lewes:
- The average age in Lewes, Delaware is 53!
- 30% of Lewes residents are over the age of 65!
She also referenced a quote from Joe Biden -
"On the northern end of Delawares beaches, Lewes, for example, is an historic town centered around boating with a distinctly New England feel."

We all agreed that he captured the charm of this town we love, so I came back to the office to search online for the rest of the story. I found the article written by Peter Greenburg on his Travel Detective Blog.
Now that our Joe is the Vice President of the United States, it's no more Dela-WHERE? We're getting all kinds of attention and most of it is good.
