Every home in Legacy at Odessa National is a resale, built by Ryan Homes.
Home types: single-family homes in six one and two story plans, with two to four bedrooms and two or three baths.
Size: the plans run from about 1,400 to over 2,900 square feet above grade. 2026 listings show about 1,675 to 3,250 square feet, and some of those figures include a finished basement.
Basements and garages: full basements, some finished and some with walkout stairs, and attached two car garages.
Age: the first homes went up in 2006, and county records on Glenshee Drive show homes built from 2007 to 2014.
Recent prices: 2026 listings and sales have run from about $375,000 to about $520,000.

The association amenities are centered on the clubhouse, with the golf course around the community.
Clubhouse: a fitness center, billiards and game rooms, a media room and a full kitchen.
Pool: a pool and a spa.
Outside: tennis courts and walking trails.
Golf: the Odessa National Golf Club, an 18-hole course open to the public, with The Grill at Odessa National, a public restaurant and bar, at the clubhouse on Fieldsboro Road.

Odessa National is a golf community of several neighborhoods, close to 800 homes in all. Legacy is the 55+ section inside it, and that shapes how you shop.
Neighboring sections: the other Odessa National neighborhoods, such as Watchgate, sit on the same roads but are separate sections with their own rules. A home on a nearby street is not always in Legacy.
The golf course: the course is a separate public golf club with its own tee times and rates. It is not an amenity the Legacy association owns.
What to check: the listing and the resale certificate should both name Legacy at Odessa National and show the 55+ rules.

Legacy at Odessa National has a Townsend mailing address but sits outside the Town of Townsend limits, in unincorporated New Castle County. The old page placed it near the coast. It is inland, in northern Delaware.
Health care: ChristianaCare's Middletown emergency department on Route 299 is open around the clock, about six miles away. Christiana Hospital near Newark is about 20 miles north.
Beaches: Lewes and Rehoboth Beach are about 75 miles south by Route 1. Woodland Beach on the Delaware Bay is closer, about 12 miles southeast.
Everyday errands: Acme on East Main Street and Walmart Supercenter on Middletown Warwick Road, both in Middletown.
Schools: Appoquinimink School District. Confirm school assignments with the district for any specific address.

Legacy at Odessa National has its own homeowners association with a board of directors and a professional management company.
What the fees cover: common area maintenance, the clubhouse, fitness center and pool, lawn maintenance, snow removal and trash pickup.
Recent figures: a 2026 listing shows a fee of $205 a month. Listings from 2023 and 2024 showed $190 a month.
At settlement: the same 2026 listing shows an $800 recreation fee and a $600 capital contribution. The resale certificate will say how often the recreation fee is charged.
The rules: the master declaration, bylaws and governing resolutions set the 55+ rules and the rules on exterior changes.

Utilities: public water and natural gas heat and hot water in the homes we have seen listed. Sewer is shown as public on most listings. Confirm it for the specific home.
Maintenance: the association handles the lawns, snow removal and trash, and you handle the house itself, including the roof and siding.
Parking: an attached two car garage with inside access on every home we have seen listed.
Pets: pet rules are in the governing documents. Confirm them for the specific home.
