Plantations and Plantations East are located just west of Route 1. Plantations Road, which runs between the two communities, is a great shortcut to the grocery store, the movie theaters or restaurants along Route 1. You can choose from condos, townhouses and single family homes, many of which have water views. There are ponds throughout the community with fountains, gazebos and walking paths. This friendly community is an all-ages community with many year round residents as well as second home owners.

Constructed between 1987 and 2000, the Plantations and Plantations East neighborhoods are gated, featuring membership-optional amenities including a clubhouse with a fitness center, an outdoor swimming pool, and both indoor and outdoor tennis. The complex is close to the Lewes and Rehoboth beaches and parks, tax-free shopping and all kinds of restaurants, the Midway movie theaters and many public and private golf courses. The Plantations, original community is west of Plantations Road where the pool and tennis courts are located.
