Ingrid Kollist

Ingrid Kollist moved to Lewes, Delaware in 2015 after a 30-year career with the U.S. Department of State which took her to assignments in Helsinki, Tallinn, Stockholm, Berlin and Tel Aviv. Originally, a native of New York, she also spent many professional years in the Washington DC area where she owned homes in both Maryland and Virginia. During her government career, Ingrid and her family would escape to Lewes on summer weekends when they could.

New to the real estate profession, Ingrid said it was a natural fit for someone who has experienced first-hand the many challenges of relocating and buying and selling homes. Her professional background in economics also attracted her to the profession.

For someone who had seen and lived in many different places, Lewes had the charm of a more relaxed lifestyle with the cultural offerings of larger communities. Ingrid was also attracted to the low real estate and sales taxes, plentiful shopping, quality restaurants, proximity to beaches, and easy access to Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York.

Ingrid is married with three grown sons, one of whom also lives in Lewes. She has enjoyed gardening, biking along Lewes' many beautiful trails, and experiencing the vibrant history of Lewes and its nearby communities. Her husband, a native of Estonia, enjoys the natural beauty of Delaware's State Parks and its active farming community.
