Alfred Willis REALTOR®, SRES, CFM, CMRS
Al Willis, a decorated Viet Nam veteran, comes to our team after thirty years managing facilities and commercial real estate for Washington based defense contractors. His broad experience covered all aspects of acquisition, managing workplace resources and disposition of real property.
Having lived in Virginia, New York and New Jersey, Al arrived in Delaware in 1998 with his wife, Alice (Workman), a native Delawarean from Selbyville, moving into a beach house for summer fun and entertaining in Rehoboth Beach during their first career years. In 2005, they sold their beach house and moved into a year-round residence in Rehoboth Beach, where the coastal lifestyle, Delaware’s tax advantages and proximity to family made this choice “the best” for the couple.
In 2012, Al chose real estate as his Boomer Career, “to share the satisfaction we have enjoyed living at the coast with other Baby Boomers considering Delaware as a relocation destination. I chose Active Adults Realty because the company is client-centered, ethical, organized and focused on assisting senior citizens.”
In addition to his other skills, Al is a Certified Facility Manager®. The Certified Facility Manager® credential (CFM) ensures the knowledge and competence of practicing facility managers through work experience, education and the competencies that make up the facility management body of knowledge.
Al is also working toward completion of the Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES®) Designation Course is an essential step for REALTORS® in understanding the distinct real estate goals, concerns, and needs of seniors today.
Al's primary focus at Active Adults Realty is representing Buyers and assisting them in fulfilling their dream. “It is my goal to share my family's love of Coastal Delaware and my knowledge of the area with those seeking the perfect retirement home or vacation destination.”
Al keeps active by performing magic in nursing home and hospital settings. He and Alice are looking forward to adding some travel to their bucket list.
